Registered Nurse RN Mother Baby PRN

Registered Nurse RN Mother Baby PRN will provide post‑operative and postpartum care for mothers, manage IV lines, administer blood products, provide PCA analgesia, assist with teaching, discharge planning, and support a family‑centered nursing care model. The role supports a team of LVNs and the unit secretary and may assist physicians on rounds.

• Develop and review care plans for six to eight postpartum mothers or four dyads based on initial assessment.
• Provide care for postpartum patients including order entry, IV therapy, and diagnostic tests.
• Assist with post‑operative care: surgical site dressing, blood administration, managing IV lines, PCA analgesia.
• Provide teaching on bladder training and breast pump use.
• Provide age‑appropriate care to all patient populations.
• Contribute to the learning of new employees, students, floats, and agency personnel.
• Participate and provide input in staff meetings.
• Maintain departmental attendance standards per hospital policy.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• No travel required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a relevant setting.
