Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA)

Pay Rate: $97.00 - $105.00

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; 1-hour break; last patient scheduled at 4:30 PM; 18‑week assignment beginning August 3, 2026.

Practice Setting: Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinic located offsite in a medical office building across from the hospital. No inpatient care, bedside care, cath lab, or procedural responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and provide cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation for patients, including assessments, history and physicals, and care coordination.
• Develop exercise and treatment plans and monitor telemetry during therapy sessions.
• Educate patients on disease management, lifestyle changes, and rehabilitation progress.
• Oversee rehabilitation program effectiveness and coordinate follow‑up care.

Qualifications:

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license with Board recognition as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Proficiency with Scott Care Versacare Software EMR.
• Ability to work independently in an outpatient setting with no procedural duties.
