Adecco is hiring immediately for a Materials Planner in McAllen, TX. Weekly pay starting at $18.00 p/hr. This is an opportunity that will give you valuable experience to enhance your career.

* Position Summary:
*
* With minimal supervision, is responsible for scheduling and/or buying material to specified planning models (MRP, Excel etc.) for the facility. Participates in defining and executing tactical plans to ensure the most efficient utilization of resources.
*
* Essential Responsibilities:
*
* - Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures
- Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability
and prepares market analysis reports
- Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy
- Regularly identifies and seeks sale/RMA/disposal of surplus materials
- Draws up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet
shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
- Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
- Prepares production reports
- Prepares purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment
- Responsible for quality assurance aspects relative to the job/task performed
- Maintains work area housekeeping and assist in department/team housekeeping efforts
- Adheres to and follow all safety procedures, i.e., lock-out/tag-out; report safety concerns, use
appropriate PPE as required, and follow all safety practices

* Qualifications/Requirements:
*
* - High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 5 years of experience in materials purchasing and/or materials control and planning
- Working knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Excel
- Willing and able to work overtime and any shift
- Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language: interpret and follow written
procedures, i.e. AWI (Aviation Work Instructions), etc., complete documentation, i.e. routers,
etc., and follow verbal instructions
** ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:*
* - This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, nationals
of the United States, asylees and refugees) due to access to export-controlled technology.
- Must pass physical, background, and drug screens
** Desired Characteristics:*
* - Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Supply Change Management or Materials/Inventory
Management
- Previous experience working with ISO 9000 requirements, APICS Certification, MRP, and
Oracle-MRO/OSB
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
- Proven experience and willingness to be self-directed and identify improvement processes
- Ability and willingness to work effectively with others in a team setting
- Follow and promote safe work practices
- Communicate effectively with others

** Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
