Position Overview:
The Cook plays a key role in executing our menu with precision and consistency. This position is responsible for preparing dishes to Altura Concepts’ standards, maintaining a clean and organized station, and working closely with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items following Altura Concepts’ recipes and quality standards.
- Set up, stock, and maintain assigned stations before, during, and after service.
- Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation to meet brand expectations.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in all work areas.
- Work collaboratively with fellow team members to support kitchen efficiency.
- Follow portion control guidelines to reduce waste and maintain consistency.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Assist with prep work, inventory rotation, and closing duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant kitchen preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours.
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Comfortable working in a hot, busy kitchen environment.
