Retail Display Installer – Technology
Location: Travel up to 90 miles from home on average. Paid drive time and mileage reimbursement.
Schedule: Monday–Friday. Weekends are not required.
Role: 2020 Companies seeks a reliable, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated Field Service Representative to help represent leading brands such as Dell, Intel, Dyson, Google, and HP. The position focuses on installing and updating sales floor fixtures and endcaps, performing buildouts, resets, and display repairs, and following planograms and client‑specific directives. This role requires independent work, meeting deadlines, using mobile applications, strong communication, and organization skills.
Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly and maintain consistent communication with field services management, typically within 24 hours of contact.
- Keep availability updated and accurate.
- Complete all assigned jobs on or before scheduled end dates.
- Install and build displays, end caps, and fixtures.
- Complete necessary documents, forms, and surveys associated with each job before leaving the site.
- Maintain and update displays according to planograms and client requests.
- Conduct break‑fix repairs to keep displays and fixtures fully functional.
- Participate in early‑morning installations and team installations with 2+ people, providing solution feedback.
- Manage virtual software and ensure successful execution of related tasks and timelines.
- Assist other team members as needed.
- Adhere to timelines for accurate time‑card submission, reporting anomalies daily with needed corrections.
- Work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Participate in training and certification programs.
- Track, record, and communicate activity via designated systems and workflows.
- Be available for weekend assignments as needed.
- Hours and locations may vary week to week; occasional weekends and early‑morning or holiday work may be required based on store or client needs.
- Accept and schedule all assigned jobs within 48 hours of receipt.
- Follow all directives as provided, executing tasks fully and completely.
- Work closely within the shared services team to achieve goals, identify improvement opportunities, communicate, and drive solutions to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the shared services team, local and regional markets, clients, retailers, and other stakeholders.
- Foster collaboration and communication across internal teams, clients, retailers, and field representatives.
- Demonstrate professional communication and strong leadership while representing the company.
- Set a high standard for behavior, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring transparent, respectful communication with all team members.
- Work across all aspects of the company and cross‑functional processes to ensure alignment and operational success.
- Ensure customer and client satisfaction is achieved and continuously improved, following established shared service field KPIs.
- Be open to giving and receiving feedback.
- Age / Eligibility
- Must be 18 or older (insurance requirements).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Availability
- Flexible availability Monday through Friday.
- Weekend and holiday availability as needed.
- Early‑morning and late‑night availability as needed.
- Maintain a minimum of 20 hours of fieldwork within a rolling 30‑day period.
- Physical Abilities
- Climb a ladder up to 10 feet in height.
- Safely lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
- Able to kneel, walk, crouch, bend over, handle and grasp, and reach overhead.
- Adaptability
- Ability to adjust to the changing variety of tasks and work environments.
- Communication Skills
- Effective communication via phone, text, and email to coordinate tasks.
- Use a smartphone for clock‑in/out, photo uploads, application downloads, and internet connectivity.
- Respond promptly to management communication, typically within 24 hours.
- Education
- A high school diploma or equivalent, typically required.
- Previous retail or merchandising experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
