Position Overview

Full‑Time Retail Sales Associate – hourly pay $10.75 to $13.00 plus commission. Commission up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $1.19 per hour.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will partner with the store team to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. You will greet, engage, and assist customers with sales, loans, and other transactions, working with a wide variety of merchandise including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with all customers, building rapport to recommend appropriate financial solutions
  • Perform non‑management open/close procedures
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and well‑displayed sales floor
  • Process sales and loan transactions in compliance with policies and regulations
  • Handle cash and negotiable items following established procedures
  • Answer incoming calls per company standards
  • Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective tools
  • Partner with all employees to create a positive customer experience
  • Successfully complete assigned training
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting)
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required
  • May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage
  • Minimum age: 18 years old
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Strong desire to work with customers and be team‑oriented
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficient basic math calculations
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Willing to work in multiple locations as needed
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Computer literate, able to operate POS systems and common office machines

Commission Plan Information

Commission incentive is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers may earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Detailed plan information will be provided during the interview.

Additional Information

Pay rates do not fall below local minimum wage requirements.

Employees must sign a binding arbitration agreement for dispute resolution.

First Cash 401(k) program is available to employees 21 years or older.
