Position Summary

Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying these in executing business processes and practices. Operates forklift following company standards and guidelines by safely picking up, moving, placing and positioning merchandise pallets. Completes work assignments and priorities using policies, data and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines and expectations.

Carries out tasks, communicates progress and determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities, adapting to and learning from change, difficulties and feedback. Receives stocks and organizes merchandise and supplies from distribution centres and suppliers, managing inventory flow and utilising equipment appropriately. Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying member needs, guiding and supporting members regarding self‑service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and promoting company products and services.

Maintains safety of facility by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following steel standard guidelines and reporting unsafe situations. Maintains the sales floor and merchandising presentation by properly zoning the area, stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or outdated goods, setting up cleaning and organising product displays, maintaining modular integrity, receiving, sorting, staging and delivering merchandise, ensuring prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise, processing defective merchandise and monitoring area for shrink, security and safety.

Ensures club pick‑up orders are filled by assisting and staging products according to company policy, assisting merchandising associates with pick orders and performing occasional audits for accuracy. Handles inventory and tracks goods, maintains in‑stock levels, controls shrinkage, reports poor inventory practices and low in‑stock levels, uses inventory tools and equipment safely. Operates and maintains forklifts, reports unsafe conditions, informs management of forklift issues.

Proactively identifies customers who need help, models and assists with technology services, identifies shrink opportunities, keeps equipment functional, organises and stocks equipment. Embraces differences, builds strong relationships, mentors others, acts with integrity, supports values, serves customers and members, delivers results, balances priorities, shows curiosity, drives continuous improvements, supports others through change.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification.
  • Ability to safely utilise pallet jacks.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer Service Experience.
  • Retail Experience.
  • Experience supervising a team.
