Position SummaryThe Catering Sales Assistant provides support and assistance to the Catering Sales Manager and General Manager in coordinating catering sales efforts and event planning. The Catering Sales Assistant also assists the Management Team with administrative paperwork. The primary responsibility is to assist the Catering Sales Manager in creating Catering BEO's for Artists at the Performing Arts Center, coordinating concessions opening/closing times according to event needs, booking, selling, planning, and coordinating all special social events while ensuring the highest level of customer service.
The role also includes purchasing specialty food and beverages locally.
This role pays an hourly rate of $12.00-$16.00.

Responsibilities- Planning menus
- Keeping staff motivated to provide the highest standard of service
- Meeting with suppliers and customers
- Discussing contract requirements with customers
- Weekly sales reports
- Weekly Credit Card reports
- Weekly Labor and Sales reports
- Processing Purchase Orders
- Receiving and processing payments for events in cash, check, or Credit Card
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiar with menu planning.
- Basic computer proficiency: E-mail, Excel, Word, Outlook, Schedule+.
- Cash-handling abilities; basic math skills, including significant-number manipulation.
- Ability to work a variable work schedule (including evenings and weekends, as required).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
