** General Statement of Job
** The Plumbing Supervisor II plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs complex plumbing operations and maintenance for all College facilities and projects. Supervises plumbers.
** Specific Duties and Responsibilities
***
* Essential Functions:
*** Develops and implements a plumbing preventative maintenance schedule throughout the College.
* Works with the plumbing crews and conducts training programs for improved performance.
* Assists with inspections of new buildings under construction; reviews drawings, plans and submittals.
* Determines plumbing requirements, and compliance measures for all plumbing areas.
* Designs and submits plans for any plumbing replacements, additional or new plumbing fixtures in new and remodeled structures and buildings.
* Utilizes the college's work order system (CMMS) to note time spent and the work performed relative to specific work request.
* Arranges work schedules for emergency, routine and periodic maintenance.
* Performs a variety of skilled plumbing work, as needed.
* Estimates materials and equipment needed for projects and assigns related tasks.
* Responds to emergency plumbing calls such as gas leaks, broken water lines, backed up and clogged drains, irrigation line electrical and water broken lines, evaluates situation and takes corrective action.
* Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
* Adheres to safety and health regulations.
* Communicates frequently with city employees and vendors.
* Operates and conducts routine preventive maintenance on College vehicles; notifies appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance required.
* Supervises Plumbers and recommends for hire, trains, assigns schedules, delegates work assignments, monitors/reviews quality of work and evaluates staff.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
*** Associate's Degree required.
* At least five (5) years of related work experience in the plumbing field required.
** Required Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
*** Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, the Windows environment, and internet research skills.
* Ability to read and interpret maps, plats, charts, plans, blueprints and/or plumbing schematics.
* Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of plumbing.
* Demonstrated knowledge of installation, repair and maintenance of plumbing fixtures/systems and equipment.
* Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws, codes, rules, regulations and/or policies and procedures pertaining to plumbing systems.
* Demonstrated knowledge of related machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repairs, and maintenance
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills and the ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment.
* Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple tasks with attention to detail, within stated deadlines.
* Ability to work independently as well as a team player within department and with others.
* Ability to adapt to constant change and periods of fast-paced, high-intensity work situations.
* Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
* Ability to travel throughout the College district daily.
