Position Summary

The Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, leads the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role involves diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, managing preventive maintenance programs, and supervising field teams to optimize equipment performance. The position requires coordinating service calls, mentoring technicians, and supporting critical business operations through timely issue resolution.

The Senior Technician also manages parts inventory, vendor relationships, and contributes to process improvements, supporting the organization’s commitment to operational excellence and regulatory adherence.

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and refrigeration units.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues to ensure optimal system performance.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
• Manage refrigerant handling, inventory, and vendor relationships in compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.
• Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands‑on training and evaluating skill development.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including work orders, inspections, and compliance records.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to support critical business needs outside regular hours.

• Extensive experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration units and control panels.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial environments.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor field teams, providing hands‑on training and evaluating technician performance.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA refrigerant handling protocols, and compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R codes.
• Effective coordination of service calls, parts inventory management, and vendor relationships to meet operational priorities.
