Our client, a leading logistics provider, is seeking for a Traffic Coordinator to join their team. As a Traffic Coordinator you will be part of the shipping and receiving operations supporting efficient material handling. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work well in a team environment, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Traffic Coordinator
Location: Mcallen, TX
Pay Range: $15 per hour (depending on experience) Monday-Friday 10AM-7:00PM and 11AM-8PM some Saturdays
What's the Job?
Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound freight movements.
- Communicate with carriers, customers, and warehouse personnel regarding shipment status.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation issues.
- Maintain accurate records in transportation and warehouse management systems.
- Monitor daily shipment schedules and ensure service commitments are met.
- Support operational reporting and customer service requirements.
What's Needed?
- Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
