Warehouse Inventory Specialist
Responsible for processing warehouse transactions in the district warehouse through accurate physical and perpetual inventory systems, through proper documentation of shipment and inventory transfer requests, and through systematized protocols of safety stock procurement. To assist in the day to day operations of an efficient and effective warehouse including the management of the shipment tracking and inventory systems. All primary duties to be performed are to ensure needed supplies and equipment are provided to maximize student learning.
QualificationsEducation/Certification:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required
Valid Texas driver's Class C license, required
Clear driving record, required
Certified forklift operator, preferred
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Ability to setup and troubleshoot shipment tracking and inventory systems, required
Ability to monitor safety stock levels and perform cycle inventory, required
Ability to perform data processing computer tasks, required
Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, required
Ability to operate mailroom equipment
Knowledge of general shipping and receiving procedures
Knowledge of material handling equipment such as 2-wheel hand trucks, hydraulic hand pallet trucks, etc.
Proficiency in Computers and Microsoft Office
Proficiency in English and Spanish, required
Experience:
Three (3) years of work experience in warehouse, inventory, asset management, logistics or related, required

Note:
Starting pay for a new hire in a pay range plan will be determined individually based on each person's job-related experience and salaries paid to peer employees in the same position with similar experience.

Equipment UsedComputer, barcode scanner, calculator, copier and other office machines, Counter-weight lift truck (forklift), 2-wheel hand trucks, hydraulic hand pallet trucks, stock carts, delivery step vans, 2 1/2
-ton truck with Tommy lift, and mailroom equipment.

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Sitting; climbing stairs; pulling and pushing; reaching; repetitive hand motions, frequent lifting of boxes; frequent district-wide travel. Ability to frequently lift and carry packages and boxes in excess of 40 pounds. Frequent driving of lift truck and delivery step vans. Ability to withstand temperature extremes inside the warehouse and outside while delivering. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
