Role Description The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Pharr, TX, responsible for the accurate and timely movement of goods in and out of the cold storage facility. Day-to-day tasks include receiving inbound shipments, verifying documentation, inspecting products, and organizing items in designated storage locations. The specialist prepares outbound orders by picking, packing, and staging products for shipment, while ensuring proper handling of temperature-controlled items.
The role also involves maintaining inventory records, operating material-handling equipment such as forklifts, and following safety and cleanliness procedures in loading docks and warehouse areas. This position works closely with warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to support efficient operations and high service standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Shipping & Receiving skills, including verifying documentation, checking quantities, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
- Hands-on experience with Packing and Unloading activities, with attention to product integrity and safe handling of temperature-sensitive goods.
- Knowledge of Inventory Control practices, such as cycle counts, stock rotation, and basic data entry into warehouse systems.
- Proficient Forklift Operation and use of other material-handling equipment, following all safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Ability to work in cold storage environments, including standing, lifting, and moving products throughout the shift.
- Clear communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Basic computer skills for updating shipment records and inventory data; familiarity with warehouse or logistics software is a plus.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage operations preferred; high school diploma or equivalent beneficial.
