Technician, Low Voltage

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple facilities and will perform additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.

• Sets up and configures low voltage systems (e.g., security, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video, network cabling).
• Runs, terminates, and labels cables according to project requirements and industry standards.
• Performs regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability.
• Identifies and resolves issues in low voltage systems promptly to minimize downtimes.
• Fixes faults or damages in systems and restores them to optimal condition.
• Provides technical support and training to end users on operating and maintaining systems.
• Addresses customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Ensures all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Follows all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintains accurate and detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Generates reports on system performance, issues resolved, and maintenance activities.
• Evaluates existing systems to determine need for upgrades or enhancements.
• Performs system upgrades to improve performance or comply with new standards.
• Works closely with technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure project success.
• Communicates effectively with clients to understand needs and provide solutions.
• Stays abreast of latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Leads and participates in teams, coordinating work assignments and providing support.
• Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs.
• Promotes compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards.

• Communicates effectively in person or via telecommunications equipment.
• Enters and locates information on electronic devices.
• Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects requiring fine motor skills.
• Moves up and down ladders and stairs.
• Lifts, carries, and places merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Observes associate, customer, or supplier behavior.
• Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Safely operates a motor vehicle and large power equipment.
• Sits for long periods of time.
• Squats, kneels, or crawls for extended periods.
• Stands for long periods of time.
• Visually inspects equipment and locates objects.
• Creates documents, reports using a writing instrument or electronic device.
• Presents information to small or large groups and individuals.
• Visually verifies and reads small print.

Travels domestically to and from multiple facilities or work sites, including consecutive overnight stays. Works or trains at multiple facilities or distant locations. Travel of extended duration (seven days or more) is not required, except for management training and emergency situations.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.

Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
