We are seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) who is passionate about clinical excellence, leadership, and making a meaningful impact on residents' lives. As the Director of Nursing, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of resident care. You will provide education, mentorship, and leadership to the nursing team while overseeing clinical operations, compliance, and quality initiatives.
In the absence of the Executive Director, you will be responsible for executing resident care policies and ensuring smooth facility operations.
- Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical staff.
- Ensure the delivery of high‑quality, efficient, and safe patient care in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
- Set and monitor departmental goals and objectives aligned with nursing ethics and standards of practice.
- Recruit, hire, and retain top nursing talent, ensuring compliance with staffing requirements.
- Develop and implement competency/skills checklists for nursing staff, including contracted team members.
- Prepare and manage the nursing department's annual operating budget.
- Maintain current policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with corporate, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to promote holistic, person‑centered care.
- Ensure compliance with resident rights policies and actively work to resolve resident grievances.
- Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance healthcare outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
- RN Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience in nursing services administration.
- Experience in a healthcare setting serving the same age/type of resident population.
- Strong knowledge of nursing management, planning, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards and state/federal healthcare regulations.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a high‑performing nursing team.

- Shift options:
Mornings, Afternoons, and Nights. - Additional hours by request.
