Seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Head Start Teacher Aide, assisting in the classroom and supporting young learners’ growth and development.

The Teacher Aide is responsible for providing teacher support in the classroom. The Teacher Aide also provides a safe, pleasant, active learning, and problem‑solving environment.
Responsibilities- Assume the role and responsibility of other center positions during staff absences.
- Assist in classroom management.
- Assist in daily classroom activities and provide classroom support.
- Assist in implementation of the curriculum, including active learning and practices that are developmentally appropriate.
- Assist in implementation of oral health practices.
- Be actively engaged in all Head Start activities and model appropriate behavior.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in a child care environment is preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the general public and agency employees.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Model appropriate and professional behavior.
36 hours per week for 37 weeks per year. Scheduled hours are generally between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm, M-F with some flexibility. This position has summers off.
Pay RateThe entry‑level rate of pay per hour is $16.04.
