Location: McCook, NE
CompensationStarting wage $50,000/hour, plus $3/hour facility differential and $1.50‑$2.50 shift differential. Varying shifts available.

Under limited supervision of a Nursing Director/Associate or Nurse Supervisor, provide professional nursing care for ill, injured, or disabled inmates. Provide clinical direction and guidance to Licensed Practical Nurses and direct care staff, deliver direct patient nursing care and treatment within the scope of licensure in a correctional setting. Perform patient care in a clinic or hospital setting, administer medications, transcribe and carry out doctor's orders, assess patients using protocols, triage, and assist in moving patients.
Minimum QualificationsCurrent license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska.
Preferred QualificationsExperience assigning, reviewing, leading, or supervising the work of others.
Other RequirementsValid driver's license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance. Completion of four to eight weeks of on‑the‑job training, background security check, pre‑employment medical examination, drug test, and successful completion of the fully paid Nebraska Department of Correctional Services Pre‑service Training Program.
