Courier​/Swing Drvr​/DOT

Overview

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages; checks shipments for conformance to Fed Ex service features; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station s service area; performs related customer service functions and other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED.

Six (6) months courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the service area.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs; ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station s service area preferred.
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and courier methods.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to inquiries per FMCSA guidance.

Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet and maintain FMCSA regulations qualifications and undergo medical examination as required. Specific requirements for employees operating a company vehicle are described in policy 4-48. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver s license and have a good driving record as outlined in policy. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Shift details:
Monday through Friday 8:45am to 3:00pm; all shifts based on operational needs.

Pay:
Current Hourly Wage is $22.30;
Pay Range for overtime is $22.30–$33.84. Benefits include health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
