Position Summary

The Accountant I supports the accounting and finance functions by assisting with financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, financial reporting, cost analysis, and special projects. This role helps ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.

* Assist with the preparation, assembly, copying, and distribution of monthly financial packages for management review.

* Analyze costs, expenses, and financial trends to identify variances and support management decision-making.

* Perform reconciliations of internal accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

* Prepare supporting schedules and maintain documentation related to financial reporting activities.

* Assist with fixed asset accounting, including maintaining asset records and supporting depreciation schedules.

* Maintain and update lease information within the Lease Ninja system to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

* Support special accounting projects and department initiatives as assigned.

* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.

* Perform other duties as assigned.
