Responsible for all Inventory Control in Distribution Centers throughout the Logistics North America network.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensure each (LNAD/NAASC) distribution facility complies with cycle count, maintained and completed on time for each facility, per our corporate policy.
- Monitor accuracy and aging reports to make recommendations to facility managers to improve accuracy/compliance.
- Work with Inventory Accounting on results and ensure correct reporting and completeness. Provide and take recommendations on improvements, or respond to critiques on staying within policy guidelines.
- Manage the team who runs and publishes Inventory reports for all North America DCs and is able to create new ad hoc reporting.
- Be aware of and identify areas where there are challenges to Inventory Accuracy and SOX compliance issues.
- Ensure that all adjustments are completed so that they apply to the correct GL and Cost center.
- Work with each DC/NAASC and the Brand on write/off, write-on. Monitor and instruct as needed to ensure that adjustments are completed correctly.
- Work with central Inventory accounting for any financial questions or questionable adjustments.
- Investigate and resolve, as needed, issues regarding availability of product for replenishments. This includes locking/unlocking locations to ensure the brand uses processes already defined that they can control. (example NPI process)
- Partner with Asset Protection to identify areas of opportunity for reduction of shrink
- Recruiting, hiring, and managing a team of Inventory personnel.
- Design and maintain dashboards tracking inventory compliance and financial risks.
- Prepare and present monthly or quarterly financial variance reports to executive level and distribution leadership.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or equivalent business experience required
- 8+ years of experience in Inventory Control / Finance Acumen
- 3+ years of experience working with a DC or Retail environment
- Strong systems skills, including proficiency in integrated software applications (WMS, SAP, Hyperion, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal, team and communication skills
- Demonstrates critical thinking / analytical skills including work quality/attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet department/company targets
- IT skills (with focus on Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Business Intelligence (i.e. BO))
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Initiative and openness to learn new skills and/or take on additional responsibilities
- A solid understanding of inventory-related best practices
Knowledge of demand and supply planning
- Inventory and Business process analysis experience
