Civil Engineer – Tallahassee, FL
Moore Bass Consulting is seeking an experienced civil engineer with strong skills in civil site development, Civil 3D CAD, and stormwater modeling. The role requires a deep understanding of land and site civil engineering design, and experience with water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure projects. The engineer will work closely with CAD drafters, technicians, and clients.
- Engineering design and CAD production for one or multiple projects for multiple clients.
- Engineering design for Civil and Landscape Architecture projects as required.
- Visit job sites and consultant offices to support project and business development needs.
- Work within project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage other engineering and CAD technicians’ work and interface with other disciplines.
- Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas.
- May supervise other technicians.
Education: BS degree in Civil Engineering
Registrations: Current valid EI or PE (Florida Registration)

Skills and Experience:
- Design experience in support of public and private projects.
- Experience with civil engineering projects including preparation of construction plans.
- Experience with regulatory approval processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership qualities.
Under the supervision of a PLS, the Survey Field Technician performs construction stakeout, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and route surveys for public and private clients.
- Standard application of surveying techniques and procedures.
- Use of survey equipment, including GPS, robotic total station, and scanners.
- Daily coordination with field and office staff.
- Work safely and obey all safety regulations.
- Daily uploading and downloading of data collectors.
- Maintain and charge survey equipment.
- Continuously advance knowledge of technology upgrades.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum 2–3 years of survey-related field experience.
Skills:
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of survey standards and ethics.
- Proficient in construction procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Ability to read construction plans and field notes.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 150 lbs with assistance.
