JOB DESCRIPTION GENERAL FUNCTIONThe EHS Supervisor implements & improves envrionmental compliance programs. Leads site management in storage, handling & disposal of chemicals & solid waste. Ensures proper disposal of wastewater to ensure operations are in compliance with state & federal safety regulations.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinate environmental compliance programs to ensure adherence with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist with the interpretation and implementation of environmental regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Support environmental permitting, reporting, inspections, audits & recordkeeping activities.
- Coordinate waste management programs, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal activities.
- Support waste minimization, recycling, and sustainability initiatives.
- Assist with stormwater, wastewater, and air compliance programs.
- Track environmental inspections, audit findings, corrective actions, and regulatory commitments through completion.
- Participate in environmental incident investigations and support root cause analysis efforts.
- Maintain environmental records and ensure required documentation is current and readily available.
- Assist in preparing regulatory reports, including but not limited to TRI/Form R reporting and waste reporting requirements.
- Coordinate sampling, monitoring, and environmental assessments as needed.
- Coordinate site safety programs and initiatives to promote a safe work environment.
- Conduct routine workplace inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with company safety requirements.
- Assist in incident investigations, near-miss reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Coordinate employee safety training programs, orientation programs, and contractor safety requirements.
- Assist with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assessments, training, and compliance monitoring.
- Support emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness activities.
- Track safety metrics, inspections, incidents, corrective actions, and compliance activities.
- Promote employee awareness of environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety, manufacturing, industrial operations, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of environmental/safety regulations, including:
- RCRA
- Hazardous Waste Management
- Stormwater and Wastewater Programs
- SPCC Programs
- OSHA Regulations
- Hazard Communication
- Emergency Response Programs
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and EHS management systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
- Certified Wastewater Pretreatment Operator.
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, distribution
