- Troubleshoot electro‑mechanical problems, install equipment, and perform unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance based on customer demand.
- Analyze problem situations related to breakdowns of customer equipment and recommend actions to correct the situation.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Execute repairs in a productive manner and perform scheduled maintenance according to Carolina Handling policies.
- Maintain parts and supplies inventory in the service van.
- Follow customer safety and housekeeping guidelines during on‑site repairs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid driver's license.
- One to three years of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience in a similar environment or equivalent education.
- Strong communication skills with customers, management, and coworkers.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of industry innovations and product availability.
- Ability to safely operate drills, grinders, presses, forklifts, hoists, overhead cranes, and hand tools.
- Ability to seek internal resources and know when to use them.
