Position Description
Under the general direction of the RDC Operations Manager, the Lead Person is responsible for assisting Management with multiple tasks such as training, coaching, and onboarding new and existing associates. Assists with the day-to-day operation, performs daily inventory accuracies, and adheres to the company/mixing center policies and procedures. Supports Management in achieving optimal productivity by delegating tasks to assigned team members while maintaining levels of quality, inventory accuracy, and safety of associates.
Performs a variety of duties relating to warehousing, product movement, and inventory functions within the RDC. Provides feedback to Management regarding team member’s job performance as needed and assists with administering the safety program set forth by ATD.
- Meet with Supervisor/Manager daily to discuss goal attainment, inventory levels, and ensure timelines are met, and lead all associates in achieving discussed goals.
- Coordinate planned workflow with Supervisor/Manager as needed.
- Ensure team fulfills their roles and operates smoothly per Management’s instructions.
- Work closely with Management to maintain inventory integrity and accuracy, aiming for an absolute inventory variance of 2% or less.
- Provide necessary resources for team members to complete assigned tasks and operate at optimum levels throughout the shift.
- Provide on-the-job training and cross-train new and existing associates using the SPARK onboarding tools and processes.
- Complete process, accuracy, and production reports associated with daily goals and communicate findings to the operations supervisor/manager.
- Adhere to all company policies and department procedures, reporting any non‑compliance to Supervisor/Manager.
- Act as liaison between team members and Management to facilitate good communication, address complaints, and resolve issues.
- Assist in administering the safety program set forth by American Tire Distributors to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Provide recommendations on process improvement and assist in implementation as needed.

- Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. - Experience:
Computer literacy is required; excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. - Alternative qualifications:
