* * The compensation target for this role is: $161,500 - $190,000
** Job Summary
** Directly accountable to lead the manufacturing organization to a level of performance identifiable with World Class organizations, utilizing lean production and continual improvement techniques. Directs all Purple manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering activities to ensure maximum effectiveness is obtained for the production of quality products within specified time and budgetary guidelines. Works with Corporate Engineering, Innovations, Supply Chain, Quality, Brand, and Sales/Marketing to coordinate the production process for product changes and the introduction of new products.##

* Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* • Responsible for developing production, maintenance, engineering performance metrics.
• Accountable for planning, implementation and directing of all production/manufacturing, maintenance and engineering activities.
• Accountable for production, maintenance, engineering performance metrics.
• Works closely with the finance department to align production build with cash flow planning and management.
• Mentor and grow management talent.
• Ensures managers provide leadership, coaching/training, respect, transparency, and a chance to grow for all production employees.
• Holds production, maintenance, engineering personnel accountable for a strong work ethic, productivity, innovation, profitability, and safety.
• Creates strategies to focus on the Employee Experience, reduce/eliminate waste/scrap, and ensure a product free of defects.
• Provide leadership in continuous improvement activities to achieve Purples goals of meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Develop and provide feedback on sustainability plan and recycling program for manufacturing components.
• Take action to resolve manufacturing, availability, and quality problems when they occur and prevent recurrence Liaise with superior to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals.
• Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress.
• Supervise staff from different departments within production and provide constructive feedback.
• Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements.
• Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation.
• Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
** Required Skills, Education,
Experience:
*
* • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of management experience required.
• Manufacturing experience (3 years preferred) in rapid growing company.
• Experience in injection molding and/or mattress manufacturing preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – comfortable in Excel and PPT.
