Mailer Packer – Georgia Pacific (McDonough, GA)

$1.00/hr Shift Differential. (Nights)

Shift: This facility works a Dupont schedule (rotating 12 hour shifts). You will work both shifts on a rotating basis, which are 6:45 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. and 6:45 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. There are days off between your night and day rotations.

Only candidates who can work on this schedule will be considered.

Georgia‑Pacific’s Mailers is a part of the Packaging and Cellulose business, the Mailers business is expanding its product lines, working with key customers to create and launch one or more new products to complement our already thriving recyclable padded mailer business.

We’re hiring Packers for the Georgia Pacific facility in McDonough, GA! This is a temporary to hire role offering full time hours, overtime opportunities, and a chance to grow with a leading manufacturing company.

• Perform visual quality inspections of finished product
• Ensure correct packaging materials, counts, and labels
• Stack product into boxes and onto skids
• Assist line operators with wash-ups, changeovers, and startups
• Maintain clean work areas and follow all safety procedures
• Read and follow written and verbal job instructions
• Lift and move 20 to 25 lbs. regularly; repetitive handwork for 80% of shift
• Comfortable performing housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, picking up paper around the lines, and maintaining a clean work area.

Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment.

Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment.

Ability to work the rotating 12 hour schedule.
