Job Summary

Maintenance Technician – McDonough, GA – safety‑oriented role in a climate‑controlled facility.

Salary & Shift

Starting pay $31.50–$39.50 per hour with $1.00 hourly shift differential for hours 7 pm–7 am. Eligible for a Performance Pay program offering up to a 6 % quarterly bonus.

Shifts follow a Dupont schedule: rotating 12‑hour shifts (6:45 am–7 pm and 6:45 pm–7 am) with days off between night and day rotations and a 7‑day break every 28‑day period.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting, installing, aligning, dismantling, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Performing predictive precision maintenance to identify and correct mechanical/electrical defects before machines fail.
  • Maintaining operations equipment to achieve optimal performance levels and meet customer demands.
  • Collaborating with operations associates to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.
  • Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participating in the safety program.
  • Helping meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals through a quality maintenance program.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools such as calipers, torque wrenches, voltmeters, impacts, bearing pullers, and infrared thermometers.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
  • Availability to work rotating 12‑hour shifts with a 7‑day break every 28 days.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance.
  • Advanced understanding of high‑voltage equipment (480 V+).
  • Advanced maintenance and project leadership experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting controls, paper or corrugated maintenance.
Physical Requirements
  • Adherence to safety rules and wearing required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to lift, walk, climb, stoop, stand, push, and pull as needed for up to 12 hours per day in a loud and industrial environment.
