Overview
We give hope for a better future to juvenile offenders and offer healing for families affected by incarceration. We do this through our programs, REACH 180 (preventive after school arts and sports based therapeutic programs for at-risk youth) and outreach at local youth detention facilities.

About CrosswalkCrosswalk Ministries USA reduces juvenile crime and addresses its root causes by providing preventive and aftercare programs for youth at risk and justice-involved teens. We pair academic support with arts, sports, life skills, and family services so students can thrive at home, at school, and in the community.
The RoleWe’re building a dynamic, community-connected Board of Directors. We welcome young and seasoned professionals from any industry or discipline who are
- Community connectors and bridge builders
- Passionate about at-risk youth and second chances
- Ready to use their skills and networks for impact
- Governance & Strategy:
Help set mission-aligned goals, review outcomes, and support sustainable growth. - Ambassadorship:
Open doors—introduce Crosswalk to peers, employers, churches, civic groups, and local leaders. - Fund Development:
Participate in fundraising (events, peer-to-peer, corporate/faith partners, matches, in-kind). - Community Partnerships:
Strengthen ties with schools, courts, businesses, and neighborhood organizations. - Executive Support:
Advise staff in your area of expertise (finance, legal, HR, marketing, education, tech, operations, etc.).
- Board meetings quarterly (virtual/hybrid); occasional special sessions.
- Committee service 2–4 hours/month (Finance, Programs, Development/Fundraising, Marketing/Comms, Community Partnerships/Outreach).
- Term length 2 years (renewable).
- Professionals of any background (business, trades, nonprofit, government, education, legal, finance, HR, healthcare, tech, creative).
- Early-career leaders welcome—mentorship provided.
- Strong integrity, teamwork, and follow-through.
- Comfortable engaging your network and championing youth success.
- Real, local impact in the lives of teens and families
- Leadership experience and mentorship (great for résumés and career growth)
- A mission-driven peer network across sectors
- Joy of seeing students succeed—in school, at work, and at home
- Board members participate in fundraising; personal goals are set collaboratively after onboarding (cash, corporate matching, peer-to-peer, or in-kind support all count).
- Crosswalk covers background checks (standard for youth-serving orgs) and provides an onboarding toolkit.
