Job OverviewCertified Nurse Assistant / Home Health Aide in MUSCADINE, AL – 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Provide great patient care.
- Answer patient calls and determine how best to assist them.
- Provide physical support for patients or residents with daily activities including toileting, walking, standing, exercising, eating/diet, medication assistance, vital signs, basic first aid and CPR, and hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, shaving, dental care, and dressing.
- Obtain information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient condition, treatment plans, and suggested activities.
- Follow the client's service plan and document any changes in the client’s condition.
- Ensure patients receive an appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
- Measure and record food and liquid intake, urinary and fecal output, and report changes to medical or nursing staff.
- Record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested by staff.
- Assist with ambulation and transfer, including positioning; turn and reposition bedridden patients.
- Examine patients to detect issues requiring medical care, such as open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
- Remind patients to take medications and nutritional supplements.
- Note and document observations of patient behavior, including complaints or physical symptoms, to nurses.
- Stay up to date on CNA training and facility policy and procedures.
- Manage home safety and sanitation, including infection control in the home.
- 1-2 years’ work experience.
- Basic health and tuberculosis screening.
- Participation in a quality improvement program.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- State‑certified nursing assistant certification.
- Current CPR certification (American Heart Association).
- Ability to think and work independently and with direction, and to communicate with staff.
- Members in a fast‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
$15.00/hr – $17.00/hr (willing to negotiate pay rate).
TravelMust be willing to travel at least 30 minutes outside of your residential area.
