Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse)
Reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) and the Center Physician for medical matters. Provides support for plasma center operations in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of laboratory and serological protein electrophoresis (SPE) results.
- Manage donor adverse events and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician standing orders and coordination of donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
- Handle employee incidents and coordinate evaluation with occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance.
- Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats within the local community.
- Provide center‑level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS) in accordance with Bio Life Medical Affairs guidance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; or graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Licensed or certified in the state of assignment (LPN or LVN). Current CPR and AED certifications and fulfillment of state IV therapy requirements.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

CompensationHourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44 (U.S. – GA – McDonough). The actual hourly wage will reflect qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and mandatory mandatory mandatory not mandatory mandatory mandatory per state or local minimum wage requirements.
