As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Control in McDonough, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control, greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, and monitor cameras and entry points for security-related concerns.

You will complete routine patrols, document activity, and communicate clearly with site teams to help identify issues early and help to deter incidents. Bring teamwork and integrity to a caring culture that is agile, reliable, and innovative.

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at entrances, gates, and dock areas by verifying identification, screening visitors and vendors, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining accurate entry and exit logs.
• Coordinate with site personnel to manage inbound and outbound truck and trailer flow, including checking delivery appointments, documenting seal numbers when required, and directing drivers to appropriate staging areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including alarms, access control exceptions, medical calls, and fire‑related notifications, and complete timely reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including perimeter, parking lots, and dock zones to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.

• Have 2 or more years of security‑related experience.
• Be 21 or more years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
