Position: 2nd Shift Assistant Supervisor  McDonough GA
** Job Title
- Assistant Supervisor*
* Pay Rate- $28.85/hr.  (60K/yr)

Length of assignment- until end of 2026

Days/Hours- 4 days (Mon to Thurs), 10 hours per day with OT on Friday 6+ hours - shift schedule is 3:15pm to 2:35 am or later pending business needs. (train on 1st shift or swing shift for min 1 week)

Leadership of the 2nd shift team (minimum of 20 team members)

Run operations- direction led from 1st shift

Monitor KPI's

Following tasks to meet goals

Team player

Making decisions to make sure production needs are met

Excel (pivots, formulas), Word, PowerPoint exp

** GENERAL FUNCTION*
* The Assistant Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of various distribution departments for all products, operations, staff and packing functions

** MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*
* + Supervises, plans, organizes and solves problems for distribution departmental functions.

+ Schedules staff and monitors daily operations and department plans.

+ Conducts interviews for new hire associates and makes recommendations.

+ Monitors daily operations to business and department plans.

+ Performs performance evaluations and provides associate guidance as needed.

+ Monitors and performs follow-up for associate accuracy.

+ Conducts audits to ensure associate accuracy.

+ Communicates daily with the operations manager.

+ Conducts training for newly hired associates.

** BASIC QUALIFICATIONS*
* + High School or GED

+ 2+ years performing increasingly diversified duties within a logistics/distribution environment

+ Experience operating power equipment

+ Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by management

+ Understanding and use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

+ Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.

+ Ability to work independently

+ Ability to maintain confidentiality

+ Ability to interact professionally with both corporate and non-corporate personnel

+ Ability to be flexible and adjust to shifting priorities based on business needs

+ Excellent math aptitude/numerical recognition

+ Excellent communication skills

** PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*
* + Bachelor's degree

+ Previous supervisory experience within a distribution/logistics environment

** Specific Skills Needed:*
* - Ability to work independently

- Application of Lean Manufacturing Principles

- Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment

- Facilitate a safe work environment

- Must be highly organized

- Must be flexible and able to adjust with shifting priorities

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects

- Proven track record of individual accomplishment, contribution and team based success - Self-motivated with high sense of urgency, resourcefulness and adaptability

- Strong computer skills in MS Office, MS Project or equivalent, Minitab or equivalent statistical package

- Strong statistical skills, problem solving and data analysis

- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate and listen at all levels

** Preferred Requirements*
* - Bachelor degree

- 3+ years' experience in logistics

- 3+ year's supervisory experience

Required Years of Experience- 2 years

** Pay Details:**  $28.85 per hour
