Engineering Intern - Summer

Position: Engineering Intern - Summer 2026
This position will support the Avient Specialty Engineered Materials business unit. The Intern is responsible for supporting the technical, lab testing, production, clerical and project work

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Supports the department with all necessary technical, lab testing or clerical work.

* Supports the department with all necessary project work.

* Other duties as assigned.

Scope

This position will support the McHenry, IL Specialty Engineered Materials manufacturing facility.

Education and Experience

* High School Diploma

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in progress

* 1 year of professional experience

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate

* Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

* Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
