Administrative Assistant, Human Resources Department

Location: Central Office

Reports To: Director of Human Resources

Terms of Employment: 12 Month Position

Start Date: May 25, 2026

Minimum Qualifications / Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates knowledge of the responsibilities stated.
  • Knowledge of technology and computer software.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
Responsibilities / Duties / Essential Job Functions
  • Assists the Director of Human Resources by performing routine clerical tasks, providing customer service, and maintaining records.
  • Performs routine clerical functions such as typing, filing, processing in-district and outside correspondence, answering phones, preparing special project materials, and ordering supplies.
  • Types/prepares correspondence, purchase orders, check requests, etc.
  • Assists in compiling data for reports, records, and audits.
  • Assists in maintaining and updating employee management system (Skyward).
  • Responsible for tracking and processing all tuition reimbursement requests.
  • Acts as backup to the receptionist at Central Office.
  • Answers phone, responds to routine questions and inquiries, schedules appointments and routes calls to appropriate persons.
  • Provides a variety of clerical and office assistance duties; makes and distributes copies, processes mail, documents, correspondence, invoices, and other materials.
  • Responsible for monitoring substitute management system.
  • Works with other positions, organizes, plans, and assists with student registration.
  • Assists with special projects that arise and assists other departments as needed.
  • Ability to meet the internal and external customer service needs of the human resources department, including staff, students, parents and the community.
  • Occasionally meets with new hires to review, monitor, and process new hire paperwork.
  • Assists processing and filing workman's compensation paperwork.
  • Maintains confidentiality of personnel and school district business records as required.
  • Ability to travel within District.
  • Ability to perform with awareness of district requirements and policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Human Resources.
Pay and Benefits
  • $18.50/hour
