Location:
McHenry, IL (hybrid, 3 days on site). Candidate should be within commuting distance.
Salary:
Starting at $115,000 plus bonus.

- Own and manage a defined consumer product portfolio, including assortment, profitability, and lifecycle strategy.
- Work on product specifications, testing, ensuring products perform to specifications.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead product launches, portfolio expansions, rationalizations, and end-of-life activities.
- Develop product positioning, value propositions, and pricing strategies.
- Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, R&D, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to achieve business objectives.
- Use analytical skills to triangulate data, gathering information from numerous sources to build a comprehensive picture.
- Support commercial teams with product knowledge, tools, and market insights.
- Monitor key business metrics including revenue, margin, market share, and portfolio performance.
- Build business cases and present recommendations to senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in Product Management, Portfolio Management, or Category Management.
- Experience in Consumer Products, Consumer Healthcare, or FMCG preferred.
- Proven success leading portfolio extension, product launches, and geographic or channel expansions.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience working within global or regional organizations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Commercially focused with a strong understanding of growth and profitability drivers.
- Skilled at influencing and collaborating across cross‑functional teams.
- Able to translate strategy into action and deliver measurable business results.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong consumer product management experience.
