• Plans and implements instructional programs in accordance with the District's philosophy and curricular objectives.
• Delivers instruction to engage all students and adjusts lessons as indicated by student progress to improve their success in academic and interpersonal skills.
• Designs classroom work to provide students with instructional materials that address individualized learning plans within established lesson plans that align with State and District standards.
• Creates and administers assessments aligned with instructional goals. Uses assessment data to evaluate student competency, developing individual learning plans, and for planning instructional groups.
• Maintains accurate and timely records for monitoring student progress.
• Manages student behavior, classroom procedures, and physical space to provide a safe and optimal learning environment for students and staff.
• Assesses student progress towards targets and standards to provide feedback to students, parents, and administration throughout the learning process.
• Uses technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration while establishing clear objectives for all lessons, curricular units, projects, and communicates these objectives to all students.
• Communicates and collaborates with instructional staff, school personnel, parents and a variety of community resources to improve overall student outcomes.
• Understands various formal and informal assessment strategies and uses them to support continuous student development.
• Demonstrates exemplary classroom practice and possesses a deep understanding of technology integration and quality learning principles.
• Performs other appropriate duties as assigned by the building Principal.
