Responsibilities / Duties Essential Job Functions- Plans and implements instructional programs in accordance with the District's philosophy and curricular objectives.
- Delivers instruction to engage all students and adjusts lessons as indicated by student progress to improve their success in academic and interpersonal skills.
- Designs classroom work to provide students with instructional materials that address individualized learning plans within established lesson plans that align with State and District standards.
- Creates and administers assessments aligned with instructional goals. Uses assessment data to evaluate student competency, developing individual learning plans, and for planning instructional groups.
- Maintains accurate and timely records for monitoring student progress.
- Manages student behavior, classroom procedures, and physical space to provide a safe and optimal learning environment for students and staff.
- Assesses student progress towards targets and standards to provide feedback to students, parents, and administration throughout the learning process.
- Uses technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration while establishing clear objectives for all lessons, curricular units, projects, and communicates these objectives to all students.
- Communicates and collaborates with instructional staff, school personnel, parents and a variety of community resources to improve overall student outcomes.
- Understands various formal and informal assessment strategies and uses them to support continuous student development.
- Demonstrates exemplary classroom practice and possesses a deep understanding of technology integration and quality learning principles.
- Performs other appropriate duties as assigned by the building Principal.
