The role is a 13-week travel assignment. The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. They work in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers creating evidence-based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy.
Required Qualifications- Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Doctorate degree in physical therapy
- Prior physical therapy experience (new graduates welcome)
- Other certifications or licenses
- Evaluate patients' physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history
- Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans with various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain
- Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration
- Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques
- Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities
- Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home-based settings
- Perform other duties within scope of practice as assigned
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient English reading, writing, and speaking
- Ability to read/comprehend written and verbal instructions and proficiency in PC skills
- Physical abilities: remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend
- Interpersonal expertise: work effectively with various personnel demonstrating positive attitude
- Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with procedures, use department equipment
- Mental resilience: manage frequent public contact, meet deadlines, work under supervision or independently, handle irregular schedules, maintain concentration on detail
