The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non‑profit organization whose mission is to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual, mental health challenges, those who have suffered a trauma, and those at risk to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose. We are looking for a Therapist Qualified Mental Health Professional who exemplifies that mission.

Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm and one later evening

• Provision of counseling, skills training, and case management services to a caseload of clients diagnosed with persistent mental illness.
• Services provided in family and individual treatment settings with both adults and children/adolescents, onsite, in community, or client home.
• Work with a team of service providers within the agency and throughout the social service community to ensure client needs are met.
• Attend scheduled work hours including evening hours.
• Provide effective individual and group counseling.
• Complete clinical assessments that meet the requirements of program funders and applicable administrative rules.
• Provide case management services as medically necessary.
• Complete required documentation (IM+CANS, encounters, consents) on a timely basis.
• Meet minimum service provision/productivity requirements as assigned by Director.
• Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings.
• Maintain client files according to agency policy.
• Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues.
• Abide by AID’s Code of Ethics, policies and procedure.
• Schedule and conduct treatment planning meetings as necessary.
• Obtain input from consumers and other stakeholders on how to improve service provision.
• Provide outcome evaluation data to supervisor.
• Maintain a positive professional working relationship with agencies, other stakeholders, and coworkers.
• Assist clients in obtaining and maintaining public entitlements as necessary.
• Participate in agency committees as assigned.
• Participate in clinical supervision at least one time per month.
• Provide outreach services to clients who are unable or unwilling to engage in office‑based services.

• Education:
  
  Master’s degree in a human services field.
• License/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Preferred (LPC or LSW).
• Experience:
  
  At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health preferred.
• Physical:
  Ability to navigate stairs on a regular basis.
• Equipment:
  Computer with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications, copy machine, telephone with voice mail system.
• Flexibility to work evening hours.
• Use of personal automobile and maintain automobile liability insurance as defined by AID’s personnel policies.
• Maintain a valid Illinois driver’s license and meet driving record standards as defined by AID’s insurance carrier.

• $1,000 sign‑on bonus for full‑time employees.
