Ophthalmic Technician

• Provide hands-on patient care by preparing patients for exams
• Assisting physicians during procedures
• Performing specialized eye tests
• Support a smooth patient flow by documenting care
• Educate patients and families about their treatment
• Help maintain high-quality care by following up with patients and supporting daily clinic operations
• Administers medications and performs other patient care procedures

• High School diploma
• Prefer education as a paraprofessional in ophthalmology or optometry
• Certified by JCAHPO as a technician required
• Good interpersonal/communicative skills needed.

Demonstrates expertise in patient care within ophthalmology, including administering medications, performing specialized eye tests, and assisting physicians during procedures. Strong ability to educate patients and families while maintaining high-quality care and supporting clinic operations.
