Job Title
Bilingual Interpreter Translator
LocationParkland Middle School, Grades 6‑8
Reports toBuilding Principal
CertificationCurrent and valid Paraprofessional License
Term of Employment180 days – full time, Monday‑Friday
Start Date2026‑2027 School Year
Minimum Qualifications / Required Skills- Current and valid paraprofessional license; 60 college credit hours or Work Keys Test/other ISBE requirement for obtaining Paraprofessional License.
- Fluency in Spanish language required in both reading and writing.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Assist teachers, parents, and office by interpreting and translating communications between school and home: may include contacts, conferences, office communications and home visits.
- Work as a cooperating member of a team and effectively communicate with students, teachers, parents and administration; positive attitude and dependability a must.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in English and Spanish.
- Translate announcements, forms, and notices as directed by the immediate supervisor.
- Demonstrate an appreciation and understanding of multicultural perspectives in student learning and the school community.
- Other duties assigned.
- $17.50 / hour. The District can provide additional credit to candidates who have prior work experience.
