Position: Business Development Rep - Commission Eligible

Follett Content Solutions helps build a diverse collection of print and digital resources to support every student. We are currently hiring for a Business Development Rep.

Position type: non‑exempt full‑time.

Location:

McHenry, IL. Pay: $20 per hour, equivalent to $41,600 annually, plus commission and bonus eligibility.

Work schedule:

hybrid with 3 days in the office (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday) and 2 remote days (Wednesday & Friday).

The Role
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the sales team to develop and execute strategies to increase sales and market share.
  • Generate new leads, build strong relationships with clients, and close deals.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research and outreach.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of leads and opportunities.
  • Close deals and achieve sales targets.
Requirements
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in sales or business development.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in the technology industry.
    • Experience with CRM software.
    • MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and close deals.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage a pipeline of leads and opportunities.
  • Strategic thinker capable of executing sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and familiarity with the technology industry are beneficial.
Salary Information

$20 per hour plus commission.
