Follett Content Solutions has been a trusted partner for educators since 1873. We support educators who touch more than 45 million students worldwide and help build a diverse collection of print and digital resources. We are currently hiring a Business Development Representative.

Description

This is a non‑exempt full‑time position located in McHenry, IL. The pay is $20 per hour ($41,600 annually) with bonus eligibility. A hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office (Mon, Tue & Thu) and 2 remote days (Wed & Fri).

About the Role
  • As a Sales Development Consultant, you will drive revenue growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities.
  • You will work closely with the sales team to develop and execute strategies that increase sales and market share.
  • Success will be measured by generating new leads, building strong client relationships, and closing deals.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research and outreach.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to build strong client relationships.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of leads and opportunities.
  • Close deals and achieve sales targets.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2+ years of sales or business development experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the technology industry.
  • Experience with CRM software.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships and closing deals.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage a pipeline of leads and opportunities.
  • Strategic thinking and execution of sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and experience in the technology industry.
