The Nationwide Coordinator works within our brokerage division, and is the point person for interacting with the customer and carriers on a transactional basis. They handle spot negotiations and ensure we are using carriers that will provide the needed service at a competitive rate. This role is also responsible for troubleshooting, correcting and notifying customer of issues identified in service exception or other means.

The Coordinator will also assist in the resolution of issues that arise with customer loads and invoicing.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Handle customer and carrier negotiations

* Work in the best interests of the Company in all respects maximizing profits and maintaining service levels to customers

* Fluid and comfortable with technology and using it to secure carriers and rates

* Ability to fully utilize our TMS to maximize carrier usage and rates

* Familiar with DAT for posting and searching

* Trouble shoot carrier related issues

* Solicit new business from Customers

* Order Entry

* Carrier Setup

Requirements

* Knowledge of carriers (existing relationships) and rates for some or all modes LTL, TL, Partial, Flatbed and Drayage

* Ability to work in a team environment & independently

* Superior written & verbal communication skills

* Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word & MS Outlook

* Strong attention to detail

* Ability to multi-task & prioritize projects

* High School Diploma (some college preferred)

* 2+ years' experience working in a warehouse environment

* 3-5 years freight brokerage experience in a brokerage or 3PL with knowledge of the logistics and Transportation industry including LTL, TL, Partial and Drayage
