Position: Post Harvest Technician I (7:00am-3:30pm)

Position

Summary

As a Post Harvest Technician I, you will be responsible for harvesting, weighing, and shipping harvested material to the dry loading teams. The position is ideal for detail‑oriented individuals who thrive in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment and want to contribute to a mission‑driven company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in harvesting cannabis material while properly preparing, weighing, and logging for transportation to the dry rooms
  • Defoliate plants as needed
  • Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking system
  • Document testing results through reports and logs
  • Input data into the company database
  • Conduct continual quality control assessment as product progresses through the process
  • Maintain and operate all equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Weigh and dispose of all plant waste material
  • Ensure products are processed and prepared following SOP and/or cGMP cleaning and hygiene standards
  • Ensure all cannabis material and products are accounted for according to company policy and procedures
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag any excess plant material, keeping work areas clean
  • Clean, sanitize, and store all equipment after use
  • Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations
  • Perform various manual cross‑department job duties as needed
  • Maintain an overall positive, safe and clean environment
  • Complete all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of cannabis handling, including harvesting, drying, curing, and trimming is a plus, but not required
  • Maintain good discipline and attendance standards
  • Ability to work hands‑on with cannabis plant material daily
  • Flexibility to work in various sectors of the production department as needed patients and co‑workers
  • Team‑player with the ability to collaborate positively with other departments
  • Proactive and positive attitude
  • Self‑motivated, innovative, and a team player
  • Excellent time management skills, driving efficiency and productivity to ensure consistent goal attainment while maintaining high quality finished product
  • Remain compliant with all legal and company regulations

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 21 years of age (or 18+ in CT, PA and WV)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one
  • Pass a level 2 background screening
Physical Requirements
  • Push, pull, move, or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and move such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Work seated or standing at workstations for extended periods, maintaining balance while climbing ladders, stairways, or moving around
    areas; use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently to complete tasks
  • Handle organic matter daily; wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection) and tolerate hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (>= 95°F)
  • Possess visual acuity with or without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details; clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in daylight and night/dark conditions
  • Speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co‑workers, vendors, etc. (moderate noise)
