Position: Flower Technician I

Role Overview

Flower Technician I – Processing Department, McKeesport, PA.

The Flower Technician I ensures incoming cannabis flower materials meet specifications by conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials, and performing all necessary packaging and documentation tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming inspections of flower and pre‑roll material for moisture, texture, quality, and size.
  • Ensure proper bud size per brand standard, weigh, and package flower and/or pre‑rolls.
  • Receive raw batch items and ensure appropriate storage and quality.
  • Sort batch items by type and complete verification paperwork.
  • Maintain proper storage of same‑type batch items.
  • Perform counts (batches, case packs, etc.) and seal bags/jars/tubes, inspecting quality of seals.
  • Apply labels to bags/jars/boxes manually or using applicator equipment.
  • Execute cleaning processes, fill out verification paperwork, and comply with cGMP and Trulieve PPE standards.
  • Clean counters, floors, and work areas to maintain a safe environment per cGMP regulations.
  • Continuously monitor quality and quantity of items produced and packaged.
  • Operate automated packaging or pre‑roll equipment efficiently.
  • Notify leads of quality, machine operation, and material issues as they occur.
  • Attend other job duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Experience working in close proximity to cannabis flower and particulates.
  • Controls and instrumentation experience.
  • Experience returning from breaks on time.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced controlled environment.
  • Comfort working with chemicals, oils, and sharp objects.
  • Processing quality experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision and pressure.
  • Ability to manage changes in working schedule.
  • 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
Additional

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 21 years of age (or 18 years of age in CT, PA, and WV).
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background screening.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to push, pull, move, or lift at least 50 lb to a minimum height of 5 ft and carry such weight over a minimum distance of 50 ft, with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Ability to work seated or standing at workstations for extended periods, maintain equilibrium, climb ladders and stairways, kneel, crouch, and reach; use hands/fingers to grasp, turn, pick, and pinch tasks.
  • Ability to handle organic matter daily and wear appropriate PPE (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection).
  • Visual acuity (with or without aids) capable of reading and inspecting small parts at 20 ft or more during day and night/dark conditions.
  • Ability to speak and communicate conversationally with co‑workers and leadership.
  • Tolerance to moderate continuous low‑level noise from equipment.
Work Schedule & Compensation

40 hours weekly. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays. Salary commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, is offered with this position.
