Accountant​/Auditor

Collin County is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Accountant/Auditor. Accountant/Auditor is responsible for, but not limited to, conducting financial and procedural audits. Work is performed under the direction of the Internal Audit Supervisor.

• Conducting financial and procedural audits by evaluating internal controls and initiating corrective measures when directed by the supervisor.
• Ensuring compliance with State and County mandated fees, fines, and costs by monitoring and tracking all County office disbursements.
• Responding to questions, providing required data, and making audit recommendations for each audit report.
• Serving as team leader during assigned audits by planning the workflow, assisting in developing audit work programs, and providing assistance as needed.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Must possess the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes.
• Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or Finance.
• Must have two to three years of experience in general auditing and accounting.
• Must maintain and possess a valid Texas Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.
