PurposeTo provide administrative support to the Curriculum and Instruction Department. The assistance involves all aspects of Administrative Assistant functions and activities as it pertains to clerical, technical, and general administration.
Essential Job Functions- Type from drafts, statistical and other reports, record correspondences, drafts responses to routine correspondence.
- Maintain extensive files of varied material, gathers material from files and other sources to serve as background for reports.
- Prepare or maintain daily, weekly, or monthly calendars of meetings or functions and send out meeting notices.
- Order supplies, equipment, books, and support materials as needed.
- Assist with Elementary and Secondary Education.
- Follow up on work in progress to ensure timely reply or action.
- Assist the Director of Whole Child Development with the daily operations of exceptional children’s programs, McKinney Vento Act, and school support services.
- Maintain student confidentiality as outlined in the Family Educational Rights Protection Act.
- Other duties as requested.
Must be able to use a variety of office equipment such as computers, scanners, fax machines, and copiers. Must be able to communicate effectively. At times requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Due to the amount of time spent standing and/or walking, physical requirements are consistent with those for sedentary work.
