Under general supervision of the Division Manager, this internship provides a full range of duties related to the functions of the Department. Interns will work on real projects that align with personal interests and career aspirations, culminating in a final project presentation that benefits both the City and the intern’s academic and professional development.

- Assist with review of laws and procedures for Gaming Machine Permits when assigned to City Secretary.
- Conduct departmental audits of agenda creation and posting procedures for public meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at an accredited college.
- Pass a drug screen and background check.
- Possess a Class C Texas driver’s license.
Tasks involve light physical effort in a sedentary to light work environment, with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 25 pounds. Extended periods at a keyboard or workstation are common. Visual and auditory perception and oral communication are required.
Work EnvironmentOffice setting with repetitive typing, data entry, and visual monitoring. Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting may occur. Exposure to environmental conditions is limited.
