C Technician

An "entry level" technician:
Capable of oil changes, tire rotations, completing minor services, tire and battery replacement, etc. Can perform most tasks that do not require in-depth diagnostics or complex critical mechanical aptitude with guidance as needed upon researching work instructions, or after being taught the proper techniques first.

High School

1-3 years

• Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing.
• Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs.
• Repairs automobiles and light trucks as assigned.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs.
• Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards.
• Ensures the shop runs efficiently by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions as needed.
• Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Verifiable technical performance record.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others and be a team player.
• Results-oriented self-starter.
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to delivering world-class customer service.
• Demonstrated desire to learn new processes and adapt quickly.
• Some post-secondary automotive training (preferred).
• Proficiency in computer skills.
