Role Description The Automotive Technician is a full-time, on-site role located in McKinney, TX. Responsibilities include performing routine vehicle maintenance, conducting inspections, diagnosing issues, and completing repairs according to manufacturer standards. Day-to-day tasks involve oil changes, brake services, suspension work, and general mechanical repairs, as well as documenting work performed and communicating findings to service advisors. The technician will use diagnostic tools, follow safety protocols, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
This role works closely with other team members to deliver accurate, timely service and support a positive customer experience.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in vehicle maintenance and routine service tasks, including inspections and scheduled maintenance.
- Hands-on experience performing oil changes and related fluid services.
- Proficiency in automotive repair and general maintenance & repair operations.
- Experience with suspension diagnostics, repairs, and alignment-related work.
- Relevant technical training or certification in automotive technology; ASE certifications preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals and use diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with service advisors and other technicians.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
